Quick recap of the last few months

It’s been a very busy 2018 so far at Act Blade, and unfortunately, we’ve lagged a bit behind with our news updates. Here’s a quick ‘tour de force’ recap:

  • In January, we had an Act Blade prototype manufactured, transported to the state-of-the-art facilities provided by our friends at ORE Catapult, and our R&D engineers are hard at work testing, stressing and measuring performance. Having a physical model is a huge milestone for us, as the information gathered through real-world testing is invaluable in shaping the R&D efforts.
  • We’ve been present at a number of industry events, showcasing our technology and strengthening our connections with other companies in the renewables industry. Some of these events include:
    • April 18thTowards Successful Commercialisation Conference
A BEIS event in London that brought together key players in the power, buildings, transport, waste and industrial sectors, as well as entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers – all with the purpose of investigating major decarbonisation challenges.
    • May 2nd and 3rd – All-Energy Exhibition and Conference, Glasgow
All-Energy is the UK’s leading renewable energy and low carbon innovation event, showcasing the latest technologies and services for the energy supply chain and both private and public sector energy end users.
Act Blade was present in Innovate UK’s Clean Growth and Infrastructure Showcase.
    • May 11th – The Energy Catalyst Incubation Event – London
  • We’d like to welcome our new Admin Assistant – Onisim is here to help us with the day-to-day running of the office as well as in producing marketing and information materials.

As the Act Blade progresses through its development process we’ll be able to tell you more about the exciting potential of our work, so make sure to keep an eye on our news section, and follow us on Twitter for constant updates.
