An initial feasibility study (conducted in collaboration with DNV-GL and ORE Catapult) demonstrated the technical viability and potential energy cost saving benefits of our technology.

Since then, we have developed a prototype 13m long ACT Blade (named the ACT27) that has passed the static, fatigue and static-post-fatigue tests at ORE Catapult. Three ACT27 were mounted on a 225KW turbine on the 30 Jul 2021 and generated energy for 6-months to demonstrate its operational viability (test run for 6-months and successfully completed on the 31st of Jan 2022).

A wholly-owned subsidiary company – ACT Blade Europe S.r.l. was founded in October 2019 in Italy, to develop the firm’s core operations, some R&D activities, and manufacturing capacity in continental Europe.
